LA VIDRIERA
(The window)
(Audio-piece)
(2010)

BiNeural-MonoKultur was invited to participate in the exhibition “Parallel Artists” within the PARALLEL CITIES – Festival in Buenos Aires. This exhibition was installed in the contemporary art gallery Pasaje 17 which served as the center of the festival.

The group created an audio piece for the gallery window based on impressions of Bartolomé Mitre Street.

PARALLEL CITIES is a project curated by Lola Arias and Stefan Kaegi. Both artists summoned other artists with the idea of creating works for houses, public libraries, courts or other functional spaces, in order to turn them into observatories of urban situations. The eight interventions transform everyday places into temporary stages and grant the spectator subjective access to spaces designed for the masses.

Berlin, Buenos Aires, Warsaw and Zurich were the first cities where this portable festival took place. In each of the upcoming cities, the projects will be re-contextualized and staged with local performers.

“La Vidriera” was presented throughout the festival in “Pasaje 17 – Contemporary art gallery of APOC – OSPOCE” in November / December 2010.
